Alan Breakwell, Private, Gloucestershire Regiment, died 17th July 1973, in an explosion at Divis Flats, Belfast, N Ireland, UK. It is believed the device was brought to the flats, activated and detonated by a unit of Fianna, the junior wing of the Provisional IRA. Three youths, aged 16, 16 & 17, were charged, two were convicted, a third was cleared of all charges. 197307170507.
