Pictured in Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry, Co Down, is Alan Black, the sole survivor of the Kingsmill Massacre in which 10 Protestant textile workers were shot dead by the Republican Action Force, generally accepted as a covername for the Provisional IRA. The Roman Catholic driver of the minibus also survived having been separated from the passengers who were then machine-gunned. 1976010014D, 14/76.
