Annual Orange Order Demonstration in the seaside village of Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal, Rep of Ireland. It is the only major Orange Order event to take place in the Rep of Ireland. The Rossnowlagh event is traditionally held on the Saturday before the more numerous Orange Parades usually on the actual 12th of July in N Ireland, except when it falls on a Sunday. The Donegal event as a rule passes off peacefully with the attendance of a few Irish policeman whose main purpose is to keep the traffic moving. The Orangemen assemble near St John’s Church of Ireland and walk the 2km to Rossnowlagh.19780708211b
