Soldiers at the scene of a Provisonal IRA booby-trap explosion at a derelict cottage In Portadown where 33 year old Roy Rutherford, aka Robert David Rutherford, labourer, married, 3 children, died 15th May 1973. Mr Rutherford, who along with his brother, had been working in an nearby orchard had gone to the cottage to leave their implements there. The bomb exploded when he pushed the door open. The cottage had previously been checked by police and no bomb had been found. 1973050150273
