Mrs Anna Forrest, Ulster Unionist candidate, by-election, Mid-Ulster, N Ireland, 17th April 1969. The by-election was unique in that the only two candidates were women. Mrs Forrest failed to win the seat in a by-election caused by the death of her late husband, George Forrest. She was defeated by the radical student politician Bernadette Devlin. 19690404145AF.
