Children, some close to tears, are escorted by their parents past a picket line of Protestant protesters on their first day back to Holy Cross Roman Catholic Primary School for Girls, Belfast. As a result of the Troubles an area that was previously fairly well integrated became completely polarised and the school found itself in a completely Protestant area. The picket was prompted by Protestants claiming that Roman Catholics were regularly attacking their homes and denying them access to local facilities. 200109034602
