Cornelius Neeson, aka Con Neeson, 49 years, married, 2 children, timber worker, murdered 1st August 1976 by the loyalist group known as the Shankill Butchers. He was on his way home after being a bingo caller in St Kevin's Hall on North Queen Street. Mr Neeson's murder was believed to be retaliation for the murder of a Protestant earlier in the evening. It transpired that the man was in fact a Roman Catholic, William John Bovaird. 197608010341
