Rear view of a house at Barcroft Park, Newry, Co Down, N Ireland, UK, where 29 year old Patrick McKeown died when a bomb exploded prematurely on 27th August 1974. At least two other men were believed to have been injured in the blast. McKeown, a 29 year old Roman Catholic, married with 4 children, was from nearby Violet Hill Avenue. The Provisional IRA said Mr McKeown was killed in action. He had a para-military funeral and shots were fired over his coffin. 197408270463
