Patrick Markey, QC, left, and Sir Robert Porter, QC, attendees at St Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, Belfast, for the funeral mass of their legal colleague, Judge Rory Conaghan, who was murdered by the Provisional IRA. Both Markey and Porter went on the become judges. Porter was also an Ulster Unionist politician and minister who later switched to the more moderate, Alliance Party of N Ireland. 197409160494b.
