Forensic officers examine booby-trapped van at the Tunney Meat Plant at Whiteabbey near Belfast. One man died in the blast but 5 others plus the driver survived their injuries. The six Tunney employees were all Roman Catholics and came from Counties Armagh, Monaghan and Fermanagh. During the week they were in local lodgings. The man who died was 26 year old Larry Potter from Clones. He was married with two children. Several men were later convicted of the sectarian murder. 25th March 1977, 197703250178f.
