RUC Constable Eric Aiken lies injured in the passenger seat of a patrol car which came under gun attack by the Provisional IRA when it halted at traffic lights at Durham Street-Divis Street. The driver was able to make it back to Springfield Road police station where an ambulance has just arrived. Later police released a statement which said that Constable Aiken was "comfortable". The incident happened August 1971. 19710800083
