The Volvo car in which Charles Oliver Eaton, Protestant, was shot by the Provisional IRA in the car park of the Peter Pan Bakery, Springfield Road, West Belfast, N Ireland, on 30th June 1976. He died in less than 30 minutes after the attack. A native of Londonderry he transferred to Belfast when his family's business amalgamated with the Bernard Hughes Bakery in Belfast to trade under the Peter Pan name. Mr Eaton was a member of the N Ireland Police Authority and a colonel in the Territorial Army. 197606300311COE2.
