Policeman on duty outside the Imperial Bar, Stewartstown, Co Tyrone, N Ireland, UK, following the previous day’s no warning bomb attack on 3rd February 1972 in which one man died. The victim, Louis O’Neill, 49 years, Roman Catholic, married with six children, was drinking in the Roman Catholic-owned bar which was ostensibly closed, along with other bars, out of respect for Bloody Sunday victims. There was speculation that the bombing was carried out by the IRA because the bar had not closed completely. However the bombing fitted the pattern of loyalist attacks in and around Co Tyrone at the time. 197203040094
