Desertmartin, Co Londonderry, farmhouse where in a premature explosion Charles Logan, Toronto Street, Belfast, described as a major in the UVF, Ulster Volunteer Force, died on 18th November 1973. The house was owned by a former Ulster Unionist councillor, who along with his wife, were injured in the blast. In a subsequent UVF statement it was stated the couple were being held prisoner and had nothing to do with the explosion. .197311180710a.
