The twin-engined light aircraft, a Piper Apache, which made an emergency landing just a few miles short of Aldergrove Airport, near Belfast, N Ireland, 8th April 1977. The four passengers were the Duchess of Westminster, her son, Earl Grosvenor, the Earl of Belmore and Richard Boardman from Chester. The duchess is the wife of one of the UK’s richest men. The farmer, David Scott, and his wife, treated the party to tea and buns until a Fermanagh-registered Rolls-Royce arrived to whisk the party to Ely Lodge for Easter. 197704080325XYZ
