Two civilian workers at Ebrington Army Barracks, Londonderry, John Dunn and Cecilia Byrne, died when a booby-trap bomb attached to the car in which they were travelling exploded. The explosion happened in the immediate vicinity of the army barracks. Mr Dunn was giving his co-worker a lunchtime driving lesson when the bomb detonated. There was speculation that the bomb was intended to explode within the military installation. 11th January 1974. 1974011100015. For more information see Lost Lives entry 992 and 993.
