Funeral of Sean Russell, a 30 year old Roman Catholic member of the UDR moves off from his home in the New Barnsley estate in West Belfast, N Ireland. Mr Russell was one of a small number of Roman Catholics to join the UDR in the early days of the Troubles and the first of his co-religionists in the regiment to die. Mr Russell was shot dead by a masked gunman, almost certainly a member of the Provisional IRA, as he sat watching television. 197112100500SR2
