Norman Sharkey, 18 years, Belvoir Park, Belfast, N Ireland, who was shot dead for shouting a warning to fellow workers when the Provisional IRA planted a bomb in the motor accessories shop owned by Monte Carlo Rally winner, Paddy Hopkirk, on 10th March 1977. The rowing boat photo dates back a few years. A man from the New Lodge district of the city was given 2 life sentences, one for the killing of Norman Sharkey and the other for the shooting of a soldier, Corporal William J Smith, in August of the same year. 197703100172b
