Rev Joseph Parker, a Church of Ireland clergyman, taking part in a fast to raise funds for the Claudy Massacre victims at Belfast City Hall, N Ireland, The Claudy bombings, in which nine died, occurred on the 31st July 1972. Rev Parker lost his own son, Stephen Parker, 14 years, in a car bomb blast at a row of shops on the Cavehill Road. Stephen was awarded the Queen's Commendation for bravery for his efforts in warning people about the device. 197209210576JP2.
