British soldiers use a water canon against rioters on the Lower Falls Road area of Belfast. The rioting broke out following a People's Democracy march was prevented by soldiers and police from entering the city centre in Belfast, N Ireland. The march was in support of PD leaders Michael Farrell and Tony Canavan who were on hunger strike seeking political status in Belfast's Crumlin Road Jail. 29 July 1973, 197307290522e
