A defiant Margaret Tebbit was back on the platform October 1986 to hear her husband and Conservative Party chairman, Norman Tebbit, address the annual conference. Mr Tebbit was injured in the Provisional IRA bombing of Brighton's Grand Hotel two years earlier in 1984. His wife, more seriously injured, was left permanently disabled. 19861003MT2
