Funeral cortege of Sergeant George Coulter, RUC, makes it way from St Anne's Church of Ireland, Dungannon, N Ireland. Sergeant Coulter almost certainly saved the lif of Reserve Constable Carole Malcolmson by deliberately shielding her in the back of the patrol car from automatic fire by two Provisional IRA gunmen. The patrol car was ambushed as it reached a road junction near the village of Donaghmore after it had been checking the home of a Nationalist MP who was under police guard. 197502030062c
