Provisional IRA chief of staff, Sean MacStiofain, gives the graveside ovation at the funeral of veteran republican, Jack McCabe, aka John McCabe, in Shercock, Co Cavan, Rep of Ireland on 1st January 1972. McCabe died 30th December 1971 a few hours after a premature explosion at a garage in Santry, Dublin. It is believed he was mixing explosives when a shovel he was using caused a spark. 19720102001SMS4
